Founded on April 2, 2001, the association THE ZURICH GALLERIES is currently representing 36 of the most renowned galleries in the field of contemporary art in the city of Zürich. 2 members have 2 locations in Zurich.
Zürich is a vital cultural centre, not least thanks to its many galleries. Working on a high professional level, they have enjoyed international regard for years. They assist and promote Swiss and international artists, working in partnerships that often last for decades. This continuous and close cooperation with the artists qualifies gallerists as reliable and valued advisors for collectors, institutions and their curators.
Through his long-standing engagement with an artist’s oeuvre, the gallery owner is an esteemed advisor to collectors, institutions and their curators. With considerable financial and time commitment, networks are continually being built up to bring the concerns and attitudes of the artists to the public.
One of these networks is the joint opening of the season after the summer break over three days.
Another highlight since 2006 is our Zurich Contemporary Art Weekend before the Art Basel. In cooperation with Zurich Art Weekend we are launching our Weekend at the same time with the ZAW.
The diversity of the positions shown in the galleries allows all those interested in art to gain an excellent overview of the current art scene during a tour of the galleries.

Our website presents the current exhibition program of the associated galleries with all exhibition dates and a listing of the artists represented by each gallery. A city map with the locations of all 37 galleries helps you find your way around. The map as well as the current programs can be downloaded and printed. All DZG galleries look forward to your visits.
